Black ops II multiplayer wont work

Hey guys,

I'm having problems with the multiplayer. the singleplayer works fine but in multiplayer it takes several minutes to load a map. when the loadbar on the bottom is full it just says "awaiting gamestatus" for a couple of seconds and then I get the following error:
You have been disconnected from the Call of duty black ops II servers.

Result... I cannot play.

I have tried the following:
- de-install antivirus and security software
- Re-installed grafix drivers
- updated grafix drivers
- installed beta grafix drivers
- disabled all non microsoft related services in msconfig
- verified integrety of offline game files
- reinstalled game through steam
- disabled steam community in game

I have read that alot of laptop users are having this issue. However all works fine on trinnys laptop.

anybody got an idea on how to solve this shit???

Lame....perhaps it's just to do with launch night server issues...

You tried uninstalling and re-installing Steam itself?

Try logging into trinnys steam account on your pc and see if you still have same problem with game load up, if not then you know its a steam issue....

I got the problem fixed now because of my beautiful and smart girlfriend Trinny (She made me write that )

this is how:

Step 1: Update your drivers at Nvidia's Beta Drivers.
http://www.geforce.com/drivers/beta-legacy

Step 2: Right Click Desktop and navigate to Nvidia Control Panel.

Step 3: Manage 3D Settings

Step 4: Click "ADD"

Step 5: Navigate to C:/ > Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steam Apps > Common > Call of Duty Black Ops II > t6mp.exe

Step 6: Under the drop down menu choose High-Performance Nvidia Processor

Step 7: Rinse and repeat for the other two t6 files.

Step 8: Enjoy the game.

Side Note: ... if this doesn't work, disable your AA as well and retry connecting.

ah shiz, i didn't think using intel graphics would cause the issue you were having :/

but i had the same problem of it defaulting to intel instead of nvidia, yay optimus

Do you guys think that I can't play it on my PC cause it needs a CPU with 2.60 GHz and I just have 2.13? Mw3 worked without any problems...

its only relevant if your system switches between intel and nvidia graphics eg, a laptop with nvidia optimus.

But you can crank up the graphics from the same place.

Phanny, those CI's that you are getting in game are not GFX related imo unless your card is overheating. I would say its firewall or anti virus related. that would explain why u dont have this problem in other games. cause ur firewall recognises all the older games on your pc but not BOII.
Its also possible that BOII uses different ports to communicate then other games. in witch case it might be related to your router\modem. Might wanna try and ask your ISP to open all ports for gaming.
