Hey guys,

I just heard from V4der and it is seems infinity ward are cool with the FOV mod from AgentRev with allows you to increase the field of view.

i wouldn't be so sure Robin...
I for one am not going to risk it.
If they are ok with it, then why don't they patch it in game? Same with the fps lock....
I don't recommend it to anyone.

First picture in my library is the standard view, second is the view set to 80.

More of the map is visible so you decide if using a third party program before now was fair or not and is that classed as gaining an advantage over standard game players using normal game settings.

speedy, it has Always been clear that a third party program isn't allowed.
That is why i posted it in the other thread. The MOTD a few days ago warned the people beforehand to close it down.
Now the fov can be changed in game and therefore allowed.
There are people being banned as we speak now. Vacban is up and running too so i heard, comming in waves every three weeks.

Yeah I know what you mean mate, im just wondering how many of the opposition had this running, not a massive advantage but it still helped them, now we all have it. Which is great.

People have never been banned for using FOV in any of the COD games and its been possible to change it in the players config file. It was a setting that was built into the game but they never bothered to implement it on the front end up until now. It's similar to the way you can change the ping to belp you find more games.

I've never bothered to change the FOV since I don't think its fair on those who didn't know how to do it or didn't risk it but will have a look to see which is better now its added to the game menus.
