CS:GO

Just wondering if any FFF guys (or anyone else for that matter) is going to be purchacing CS:GO?
The public beta has been out for 24 hours now and ive already racked up 14 hours play :/

I'd like to get to know some of you guys a little more as i dont have the current CoD and everyone sacked off BF3

I'm considering it for the price, a little over a tenner. Do you think it would be a fun viable COD alternative? What do other people think about that?

I imagine one think it would have going for it is that Valve would be ahead of the game with reference to hackers, or am I wrong on that?

we had a good laugh on it last night , as yet no hacks ... but its the beta so im not surprised , i think they will sort something out like if your hosting your own server you can ban certain ppl if they are hacking ... like blops 2 ....
but well worth a £10 splash out =P

Personally i'd rather play this that any CoD game, but thats just me, I know i'll probably be corrected but I feel that CS is the most balanced fps available. The CS community are big on wars and stuff too so maybe that could even become apart of it for us too. In terms of similarity of gameplay between cs, cod and bf, they are nothing alike haha, if you spray in CS:go you wont kill a guy, its based around accuracy and getting the vital hits. Steam are generally great at keeping on top of hackers, i played CS:S for a good few years and only encountered maybe 3 or 4 hackers, all of which were banned by server admins etc. Really hope this game gets into our gaming circle Avatar is a picture i took on holiday once of some lightening

As far as this game goes cs:go the clan will not be not be playing this as a serious game, FFF has always been a COD clan and i can not see it changing at the moment.

Am sure if there are a few guys playing it then maybe we could think about a Go division but lets see what happens.

Yeah I get that and it's fine was just wondering if any of the guys will be playing it, know a couple of guys have bought it and played.

i used to run counter strike servers ... with all mods ... wrote my own mods etc etc ..... with dedicated servers ...... i can host servers on my server and with the options that happened before would be quite looking forward to it hackers are always a problem ... but with dedicated servers and rcon control with admin's it's an easy ban

We got someone with some server experience then would be good if we could just get a few guys together to have a mess about one night.

I go on holiday thursday 23rd august so i'll be unavailable for a fortnight from then on im afraid

that's what I was thinking Dave, I definitely wasn't going to buy it if it was like £30-£40, but as its only £11 i'm thinking its something to else to do. But then, we're not far from BLOPS:2 tbf

I've got it, mostly for nostalgic reasons, it's fun to play for those you liked the old games but i don't think it'll attract new/younger gamers...
