Right its about time I got back to doing some 3d work, I'm sure you have all seen the FFF spinning logo I created so I wont bother posting that.

Today I made a FFF dog tag, its pretty rough as it was just a quick lil things to do.

Ill probably add a chain and another tag with a users name on it, maybe even animate it we shall see.

If anyone has any ideas about this or any other FFF art just let me know!

You got an engraving machine mate? What kind of other stuff can you and on what materials and size?

I have 2 roland EGX 350's. I can pretty much engrave anything as long as it is flat. Max size is about A4. Just starting my own buisness in the evenings and am learning how to engrave different materials. Have been using them for 3 years to engrave graphite composite for fuel cell plates so have been messing with metals and plasics now. Dog tags will be a good trial.

Hmm...might have to have a think about some stuff to get engraved, I know you said it needs to be flat, but it looks like it can move 40mm in the z-axis, does that mean you could do slightly curved objects such as the side of a paintball gun?

I believe there is a way to do it and I think I have the fittings to do it but I dont know how. I also dont think it would fit in the engraver. If things go well I am thinking of getting a laser engraver which would do that better.

Ahh yes, now that I think of it, these paintball guns are all laser engraved. That would be sick if you're able to do that!

I've got the London skyline engraved onto my A-Bomb Intimidator paintball gun, picked this up years ago and cost a bloody fortune at the time due it being custom laser engraved!
