Found this while looking for some info on reducing game lag , made some changes myself & am about to test them,
take a look see what you reckon !!

So far I set ping to 100 from default 800 setting this along with the other settings have made the game perform much the same as Bo2 did virtually lag free

Setting the ping to 100 might make it more difficult for you to find servers especially at off peak times.

aint worried about that been playing all morning with no probs to speak of and its a week day surely that would be harder to find a local game when its quiet and not many are playing

is that allowed changing the config file? Cause you can't change some of them settings ingame. Just wondering.

Changing config files is fine, I wouldn't recommend downloading any config changing software as they sometime change some of the .DLL or .exe files.

Saying that the game doesn't have any anti cheat system (VAC Secured / PunkBuster) anyway.

i was just thinking that all allowed content that can be changed should have been in game accessible. But i don't know either...
For me the game runs fine now.
But almost everyone has had a problem or two they needed to fix...., so the game should ve been better ported for PC from the start.
I don't blame the people finding out what things to change to make it playable.
Just beware/be cautious with all the tweaking you need to do directly in the gamefiles and not accessible in game.
Steamthreads aren't started by the developers.... so it can be anything.
