Does anyone know which ports I need to open for mw3 amnd Battlefield 3? in my router setup? thanks in advance

haha ive managed to open my Nat, but Steam has updated my MW3 and now it's telling me that no games can be found, if i go to the server browser it shows me loads of servers up and running, but when i try to join one it tells me they are running a different version im running 1.4.364. any info anyone?

i made a post about this mate a while back. It's basically same ports as Black Ops. try

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 transmits and receives network traffic on port 3074 (UDP and TCP).

Additionally the Steam client transmits and receives network traffic on ports UDP: 27000-27015, 27015-27030 and TCP: 27014-27050.

Thanks man, Ive sorted the Nat thing out, but I cant connect to anyones games, it keeps saying im running a different version of MW3, its ever since the Ricochette version happened Ive not been able to join a game since then.

God dam, I just logged into MW3 and my Nat is back to Strict, I also added the ports you mentioned that I hadnt previously had but still no joy.

right i turned Upnp off and rebooted my router and my Nat is now open, but I still cant join any games cos it tells me they are running version 1.4, thats it , no more info

Very very strange, try verifiying the game cashe, might do the trick.

yep i had this with black ops. Right click the game in steam /game properties/verify/

this will download any missing files you may not have and sort them in the right order. should only take a moment.

oh btw you may wish to copy your game profile and stick it into another folder. That way if it all goes bad you still have your stats

Nope the veryfying worked like a dream and my version has now been updated cheers all
