Kind of glad I didn't wait in the end. Doesn't seem to be too earth shattering, at least the desktop version for gaming.

Doesn't look like a dud to me for gaming check out comparisons to previous gen i7`s here

I think from the X58 it would be worth a jump. I upgraded to a 4790k about 6 months ago though, so not a major jump compared to that

What frequency did you get out of that 4790 k Robin ??

Just finished my overclock on the 6700k she`s @ 4.8ghz @ 65c in prime 95 ( 24/7) I hit 4.9 but she wanted too many volts for me to be happy with that Rams @3000mhz
next the titan overclock

Just running it stock mate. Wasn't too fussed about OCing with a 4Ghz base
