Triple 34" Ultrawide Monitor Gaming Setup!

Jaja, I've been in the market for a new monitor for months now, but I keep holding off as there's so much progress recently.
Ideally I'd like to get the 40" 4K monitor that Philips have released in China, but I think there might be some pixel stretching issues and there's very few arriving in the country this month.
If not, I'll probably go for a single one of the monitors in the video, a 34" ultrawide.
Then there's freesync....loads of monitors due out next year are scheduled to have it. I believe every single curved monitor that Samsung are producing next year will have it.....plus all these new high dpi 4k screens...so much choice.

I'd usually say the same with anything computer hardware related. But it just seems to me that the monitor progress in the last 6 months has been pretty nuts.
120Hz, Gsync, Freesync, Ultrawide, 34", 4k, High DPI, and now 40" 4k.
That's a lot of new monitor features to take into consideration, whereas in the past it was pretty much pick the size you want and your sorted.
The next one I get needs to be wall mounted and the wall needs drilling, I don't want to have to re-do that if I had to change monitor 6 months down the line. Plus if I'm going to drop £600-£1,000 I want it to be a good one and fit perfectly for my compact desk setup.
I can hang tight for a few more weeks to see how things pan out with this new 40" 4K one....I think!

Is anything actually pushing the 4k graphics though yet to warrent getting it. I heard it will be another 2-3 years before places like sky and netflix will stream that content. Not sure about games though?
You're absolutely right in that there's still very little 4K consumer content available yet (in terms of TV). On netfllix the only 4K shows available at the moment are Breaking Bad, House of Cards and The Blacklist (only available on the US version). Plus you need to pay an extra couple of quid a month for UHD/4K. I've been testing it out myself. In terms of gaming though, ultrawide is incredible 4K is still very very difficult to power with todays graphics cards. You really need SLI or Tri-Sli using graphics cards with large amounts of memory to utliise it. It's definitely still early adopter status and will be another year or two before it starts really picking up.

I looked a little more myself. Appranrly netflix will stream in UHD by end of play next year. Apparently sky already stream football in it
Netflix UHD streaming is available now mate, I can get it on my 4K TV.
Unfortunately there's still barely any content available. In the UK version there's only Breaking Bad, House of Cards and a few specialist nature documentaries that were filmed in 4K.
In the US the only addition to that is The Blacklist I believe.
Hopefully more of the shows that have been commissioned by Netflix will be released in UHD next year.
