I'd usually say the same with anything computer hardware related. But it just seems to me that the monitor progress in the last 6 months has been pretty nuts.
120Hz, Gsync, Freesync, Ultrawide, 34", 4k, High DPI, and now 40" 4k.
That's a lot of new monitor features to take into consideration, whereas in the past it was pretty much pick the size you want and your sorted.
The next one I get needs to be wall mounted and the wall needs drilling, I don't want to have to re-do that if I had to change monitor 6 months down the line. Plus if I'm going to drop £600-£1,000 I want it to be a good one and fit perfectly for my compact desk setup.
I can hang tight for a few more weeks to see how things pan out with this new 40" 4K one....I think!
