Weapon Levels in MW3

Hi

Can anyone actually explain to me how you move up through the weapon levels to unlock different weapon proficiencies? Obvously the more you use a weapon makes it work, but what is the formula, is it linked to challenges?

I can not work it out, sometimes I seem to stay at a certain weapon level for ages.

Hey mate,

Just keep using it, you will move though the levels quite quickly until the last level, which can take a week or two to get through. I am not sure if using diffrent attachments makes the process go any quicker but i dont think so. So select your gun and grind the xp til you unlock it all. Jump in a HQ as i guess it takes longer in SnD as you make less kills.

That is the way forward... get in some Dom or HQ it will soon move up....
