True but a little more to it than that.

If we are going to play matches with BF3 say a 12 v 12 or 16 v 16 we will need practice working as a team. Within the Team e will need strong squads who in turn work together.
The squads need to have a squad leader who will follow the game as it changes and respond to the captain.

We would no doubt need to practice manoeuvres like going house to house and changing from support to assault.

Each squad would have to have each of the classes working as a single unit moving forwards to capture or falling back to defend objectives.

There for it would be absolutely fundamental to examine each individual load out so a squad member could enhance the others or the team as a whole.

As you know, those who play regularly. You can not go Gun Ho. It has to be Tac tickle.
For instance no point having one squad with all Engineers and each has squad sprint and SMG.

I would say have at the most 1 maybe two of the best Recon who would work with the squads providing over watch. ie. Painting, laying Spawn Becons. Not to sit static camping but to actively move around the peripheral calling out Targets and Taking out unseen threats.

We would all have to be adaptable and be able to fall into a slot as requested. So may not get to be the Hero or work in our comfort zones.

We would have to designate best Pilots/Drivers and have an informed battle plan of what we would do and how to react.

If you spawn, then spawn on Squad for Attack and not for defence. Sure we have to hold the line but it maybe more advantageous to form a defensive bridgehead elsewhere.

Those who play the game often start to learn how people move and what the likely move is next going to be. Like Attacking on Sein always take B first as it's the harder of the two. You know the routs that enemy will take to defend it so set up a bottle neck and sacrifice one or two so the team can prep for the onslaught.

It's all about bidding your time and making the other team bleed tickets in Attack or Rushing and hitting hard in Defence.
Very often the Game is decided in the first few minutes and it is obvious who is going to win.
If the Team does not quickly notice this and react by changing then it is Game Over.
Think outside the Box.

Well we will defo need practice sessions but I like these as much as a real match.

yep would not mind giving it a go but my work would be difficult to fit in training sessions. Perhaps practice for an hour on Sunday nights?

Also Coms Chat: it would be very hard to get anything done if there is no strict discipline on Team/squad chat.

Prior to game the whole team have a battle plan- Orders/Objectives issued ie buddy up and guard area or patrol. Reporting back, Keep it short and accurate.
Stay silent if not directly involved do not talk if dead.
No point shouting or talking over one another.

We will have to quickly learn the details of each Map and identify Key points on it for example on this wall I am able to see Bomb A and Bomb B.

For our friendly if it comes off I have selected Kharg Island. I think we should defend first. We know that most games the beach is not directly attacked other than being strafed by Heli ship or Jet. If an LAV comes chances are we will have it painted and hit 5 times before it makes it ashore.
Most will Rush in Boats and go Right or Far LEFT. We would need heavy suppressive fire on these points punctuated with Rocket support to stop advancement. The bulk of our force will be in the mounds for hard cover by B and Dunes and Bunker for A. Tanks and snipers should stay up the beach and Engineers Lay mines like eggs around entry points to shore and Bomb area.
Medics must remain with squads and get your team mates back into the fight. If the enemy make a hole they will use it.

If we loose the beach we have to hold up the advancement of armour to Gas Station and out post. We will need painters up in the hills to locate Tanks for rockets.

Hold lines in the Dunes and watch for Speed boats flanking to the left and air support to the right. We know that all traffic will come down that road or even the left flank beach, so mine it.

If we loose Gas Station it will be a rapid withdrawal to Offices and Construction. Offices are easily held cover from brick walls and smaller units either side. Construction can be held close, providing Armour is taken out on the Road and surrounding areas. They can be snipped and spotted from the Hills.

Final fall back to the Docks main attack always seems to come from Left flank beach or road. If a Heli gets on roof or tank gets in compound it is game over.

Therefore we should have infantry 2 or 3 on each Bomb covering Exits and windows. Recon are not much good at this point unless they are up very high. Engineers and Assault troops around the peripherals of Both Bombs.

Forget Planes and Heli unless you have heat seekers. You could use the guns on the heli defensive from the roof but we would need anti Tank and ground to Air support.

I will stop now presuming you are all still awake
